Tryphosa

Name: Tryphosa
Descendant: 5th Generation
Clan: Malkavian
Sire: -unknown-
Progeny: -unknown-
Embraced Age: pre 800 BC
Artwork by: Warren Mahy

Tryphosa was one of the six Methusalehs who established the Great Prank on all of the Malkavians that gathered for the Great Call at Domazlice. The six Methusalehs called upon the blood of Malkav and unleashed a great power that replaced the fervor of Dementation to the command of Dominate. Not all of the Malkavians present were changed, as such the gathering split in two where those who gain the discipline of Dominate joined the Camarilla while the unchanged united as the Sabbat.
Tryphosa has been around since the time of Carthage and served as the seeress and sibyl for Camilla, the Prince of Rome. Using the Sibyl's Tongue, her visions foretold the demise of Carthage, although none but her words remained in the weavery of the Madness Network. Apart from these facts, her works and actions were not written nor recorded, such are the powers of the great Methusalehs.

Creation Rites

Artwork by: Michael Astrachan

The Creation Rites is the initial ritual that all kindred have to go through to become a True Sabbat. Although the details may vary from pack to pack, the main remains the same. The chosen recruit is Embraced, drained of their blood and given enough vitae from their sires. The recruit is subsequently knocked unconscious and buried into the ground. Upon regaining "semi-consciousness", the recruit has to dig his way out while being filled with malevolent and violent hallucinations brought upon by his sire's potent vitae. These visions cause the recruit to lose his humanity but they also help him to claw his way out of his grave. Successful diggers are then knocked unconscious again by the awaiting Sabbat grave watcher and brought to a secret hideout where he will participate the Vaulderie which legitimizes him as a True Sabbat.
Those who did not make it out of the grave on the first night will remain in their state of semi-consciousness and starvation for blood until they torpor. They will continue to fade in and out of torpor and grow more deranged and demented until the end of eternity or the final night of Gehenna, which ever comes first.

Toy Chest Test

Artwork by: Dennis Calero

This test was suggested by the Preacher to retest a quadriplegic Samedi corresponding to his abilities. The Samedi was believed to have failed his Creation Rites prior to the 1800s and remained in torpor until his discovery in 1852. Archbishop Strathcona succumbed to the Preacher's request to revive the Samedi and place him in a toy chest with another vampire who is receiving the Creation Rites. The result is a toy chest full of blood, gore and a floating Samedi who is aptly nicknamed Toy. Les Misérables took Toy into their coven, declared him Montreal's national treasure and continued to use the Toy Chest Test, at times, on their neonates which none has thus survived.

Name: Toy
Descendant: -unknown-
Clan: Samedi
Sire: -unknown-
Progeny: -none-
Embraced Age: pre 1800s

Toy is a quadriplegic kindred who was born without any limbs but "reborn" with rows of razor-sharp teeth. He went feral after his Embrace and during his Creation Rites when he was unable to claw out of his grave for decades before going into torpor. After Toy's retest, became Les Misérables' national treasue and the unofficial mascot for Montreal. Les Misérables would bring him out for fun and games such as "Bobbing for Mortals", "Taking Toy for a Walk" and "Movie Night". Currently, Toy is under the "care" of the Wretched pack, who won him in a bet, where he is mostly kept sealed in his toy chest except for feeding times.

Beast, the Leatherface of Detroit

Name: Beast
Aliases: Leatherface of Detroit
Descendant: -unknown-
Clan: Nosferatu antitribu
Sire: -unknown-
Progeny: -unknown-
Embraced Age: -unknown-
Artwork by: Pete Venters

Practically nothing is known about the creature identified as Beast of Detroit apart from the fact that he is very likely an autarkis kindred from the Nosferatu clan. Witnesses have described hideous features that fit the degenerated physical attributes of the Nosferatu clan, but neither the Camarilla Kindred nor the Sabbat Cainites have claimed any clan responsibility. Although, the Prince of Detroit has set up hunts to stamp out the retched disease.
The Beast does well to fit in the vampiric society maintaining a show while keeping his secrets to himself, as such he does not have, nor trust, allies or retainers. The serial killer loves to imitate the psycho-slasher movies and prefers the iconic tools such as the chainsaw, blowtorch and icepick to get the most shrieks and thrills from his running food as much as possible.

Embraced Age: early 40s (640 AD)

is a veteran warrior who has fought alongside Muhammad during the hejira. He is one of two Amr's lieutenants sent to discuss Babylon's term of surrender. Unknown to Amr, the undead Patron of Babylon, Agonistes, approached the two emissaries in the middle of the night and brought them to the fortress of Babylon. Agonistes brought them out of time and listened to their cause and convictions, after which he declared the two lieutenants heirs to his mission and embraced them both to care for Babylon's future.Upon Agonistes' final death, Al-Muntaquim went into a frenzy that destroyed a Brujah merchant and many others, both kine & kindred. Not satisfied with his judgment, Al-Muntaquim continues to hunt Agonistes' true executioner, Troile the False Brujah.
His trip to Asia brought him to Ona-Zhir who instructs him on the different paths and eventually gave Al-Muntaquim a powerful spell to fulfill his destiny as the Avenger to destroy Troile on the night of Gehenna.

Louhi

Name: Louhi
Aliases: Queen of Pohjola, Mistress of Pohjola
Descendant: 5th Generation
Clan: Malkavian antitribu
Sire: Lerterimas
Progeny: -daughters unknown-
Embraced Age: 92 yo (292 BC)

Artwork by: Steve Prescott

The story behind Louhi is tightly knitted with the Finnish tales of Kalevala passed down over the generations
. She is an old crone who reigns, unopposed, over the extensive kindred population in Finland. Her infrequent ramblings of unnerving prophecy are true marks of those embraced by Malkavians. Rumors among the Finnish kindred says that she is churning the great veil to turn daylight into darkness, as black as her gnarled runic staff. Though her Thaumaturgy skills are comparable to Tremere Elders, her advances into the Malkavian madness and paranoia makes the rumor untrustworthy.

Smiling Jack the Anarch

Name: Smiling Jack
Aliases: the Anarch, the Anarch's Anarch, Calico Jack, Rackham, Jack Hopper, Mal Content
Descendant: 10th Generation
Clan: Brujah
Sire: Mama Lion
Progeny: Dre, many others unknown
Embraced Age: 43 (1654)

Artwork by: Drew Tucker

Smiling Jack looks like your typical biker gang member with his black leather jacket, T-shirt and jeans. He travels on his huge motorcycle, possibly a Harley,
spreading his iconoclast ways to younger Brujah. His long black hair, shaggy beard and lack of personal hygiene are remnants of his Carribbean pirate life of the 17th century prior to his embrace.
Jack started his path of anarchy with the anti-Ventrue revolutionary in the Carribbeans which enflamed northwards across the United States creating some of the Anarch Free States. He has always been the true anarch, burning down anything and everything he can from Camarilla soirees to Sabbat havens to gangs of other anarchs. Because Jack travels a lot, he does not have any particular havens but you are likely to see him in biker pubs or pubs by the sea.
